Useful tips

Automatic transmissions are becoming more and more popular but some drivers treat them in such way that can lead to unnecessary damage or complete failure.

Automatic transmissions last for decades if they are treated well:

1. regular oil and oil filter exchange
2. regular hydrodynamic converter check
3. avoiding frequent mistakes such as:

• DO NOT SHIFT to "N" while standing at the traffic lights
• DO NOT SHIFT to "N" while driving downhill
• DO NOT SHIFT from "N" to "D" at higher engine speed
• DO NOT SHIFT ""R" before stopping the vehicle
• DO NOT SHIFT ""P" before stopping the vehicle
• PARKING is not a HAND BRAKE
• DO NOT TOW or push the vehicle
